India is gearing up to begin their ICC Champions Trophy 2025 campaign against Bangladesh on February 20 in Dubai. Aiming for their third title in the tournament’s history. A victory would not only solidify India’s dominance in ODI cricket but also earn them a massive financial reward. As the International Cricket Council (ICC) has significantly increased the prize pool for this year’s event—the first since 2017.

The ICC has thus announced a total prize pool of $2.24 million (₹186.67 crore INR) for the tournament. Significantly marking a 53% increase from the last edition. The detailed prize distribution is as follows:
Winners: $2.24 million (₹186.67 crore)
Runners-up: $1.12 million (₹93.34 crore)
Semi-finalists: $560,000 each (₹46.67 crore)
5th & 6th place finishers: $350,000 each (₹29.17 crore)
7th & 8th place finishers: $140,000 each (₹11.67 crore)
Participation bonus for all teams: $125,000
Group stage wins bonus: $34,000 per victory
This historic prize increase reflects ICC’s commitment to making global cricket events more competitive and financially rewarding.
