At the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, the two teams will play one another once more in an amazing group stage match in less than a year. In the inaugural encounter between India and Pakistan in the renowned metropolis of New York, Rohit Sharma’s team emerged victorious. Babar Azam‘s team lost, although coming very close to victory.
With that victory, the Men in Blue won the ICC T20 World Cups for a record-breaking 7th time. And increased their lead over Pakistan.
In just their second match, Pakistan had the chance to overcome their bitter enemies. But fate had other plans for Babar Azam’s team. The loss now puts the Green Army in jeopardy of being ousted from the World Cup in the group stages.
All of the Champions Trophy teams, with the exception of India, have visited and played in Pakistan since the sport was brought back to the country in 2015.
Pakistan is the reigning champion of the competition, which took place in 2017.
