Kaamya began trekking at the age of three, influenced by her father’s mountaineering activities, according to Kids Chaupal as cited by DNA. Her adventures in the Himalayas started in 2015 when, at the age of seven, she hiked to Chandrashila Peak. At the age of nine, she also successfully undertook an adventure to Mount Stok Kangri. On April 3, Kaamya and her father set out on their Everest trek.
Kaamya’s remarkable mountaineering abilities have earned her the coveted Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Shakti Puraskar, the highest civilian honour for individuals under the age of eighteen, solidifying her status as a rising star in the climbing community.
