Suwon Archery Asia Cup: On the opening day of the finals at Stage 3 in Suwon, Korea, on Friday. Indian archers at the Archery Asia Cup maintained their outstanding form, winning four team medals. In the recurve archery competition, the women’s team won the lone medal. In order to give their young team some experience playing internationally in South Korea, the centre of archery. India entered a youthful team for this Asia Cup. In the team competition, India took home two silver and two bronze medals on the finals day.

In the bronze medal match, the women’s recurve team. comprising of Bhargaviben Bhagora, Sharvari Shende. And Basanti Mahato, defeated an experienced Uzbekistan team to win the first recurve medal of the competition. The only archer to average above 9 (9.25) in the bronze medal match was Sharvari Shende, a 14-year-old who distinguished herself as the greatest player out of the six competitors in this match. In the final, host Korea defeated Japan with ease to earn the gold medal. The men’s and mixed recurve teams from India were defeated by Mongolia and Uzbekistan in their quarterfinals, preventing them from moving on to the gold rounds.
All three team medals in compound
On the finals day, the Indian compound archers won all three team medals, extending their reign of terror throughout Asia. The women’s compound team began the session with a silver medal, having lost South Korea in the final with a narrow margin. In the meantime, the men’s team won decisively over Chinese Taipei to claim the bronze. The Indian team won their second silver medal of the competition in the mixed team event. Which was the final medal of the day. Kumund Saini will compete in the women’s solo final on Saturday. Giving India one more chance to close the tournament on a positive note even though they did not take home a gold medal in the team competition.
