While Chopra secured a massive personal achievement, he finished second in a thrilling contest, with Germany’s Julian Weber claiming the top spot.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Chopra, calling it a “spectacular feat” and applauding his relentless dedication and discipline. “India is elated and proud,” the PM added, acknowledging the 27-year-old’s landmark moment in Indian athletics.
Chopra’s performance marks a significant milestone in his career and adds another glorious chapter to India’s track and field history.
