With their victory over LSG on Sunday, KKR moved up to the top of the IPL 2024 points standings.
After defeating the Lucknow Super Giants by 98 runs on Sunday, Kolkata Knight Riders moved up to the top of the IPL 2024 points standings. With 236 to chase, LSG was bowled out for 137 in 16.1 overs thanks to three wicket hauls from Varun Chakravarthy and Harshit Rana.
Initially, KKR scored 235/6 in 20 overs. All thanks to a dominant innings of 81 runs off 39 balls by Sunil Narine. For LSG, Naveen-ul-Haq claimed three wickets in the interim.
Shreyas Iyer, the captain of KKR, stated the following during the game: “We are losing tosses, but it doesn’t matter. The last six matches in the locker room have been chaotic. Coworkers are coming in and asking to skip what’s going on. The powerplay got off to an excellent start for us. In the time-out, Sunil said that a score of 200 or more is considered good.”
“A left-right combination creates difficulties for the opposition as it forces the bowlers to adjust according to their strategies, which has an adverse impact. It all comes down to having the freedom to express oneself publicly. Regardless of the circumstances, we want to go out and be optimistic. Sometimes things don’t work out, but other times they do. They have been fantastic for us; their shot-playing is really wonderful. We are playing with a good attitude regardless of the circumstances because they are motivating us and setting us up,” he continued.
